Scientific innovation gains a great value when translated into solutions with a real impact on society. Under this premise, Atenxia—a project born from research at the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC)—has been selected to participate in the 8th edition of UNICEF Lab.
What Is UNICEF Lab?
UNICEF Lab is an innovation initiative by UNICEF Spain designed to identify, promote and scale projects that directly improve the lives of children, adolescents and their families. Being part of this acceleration program is a recognition of the strength of ATENXIA’s proposal and will offer the team:
-
Specialized mentoring and project acceleration.
-
Access to an ecosystem of international experts and institutions.
-
Definition of real impact metrics and scalability potential.
Science And Artificial Intelligence At The Service Of Children
ATENXIA’s participation in this program addresses current challenges: the high prevalence of dyslexia and ADHD, and the lack of personalized intervention models. Atenxia tackles these challenges by combining Artificial Intelligence with scientifically validated techniques, allowing for data-driven personalization that adapts to the specific needs of each child.
For the Atenxia team, being present in UNICEF Lab implies:
-
Validation of the problem and approach: The program works on priority challenges for childhood and requires demonstrating that the solution has real applicability and measurable results.
-
Institutional connection: It allows for the integration of the innovation developed by Atenxia into real-world adoption environments globally, thanks to connections with international institutions and organizations.
-
Evolution of the model: It reinforces the need to move from generic intervention models to systems based on continuous measurement and technological support.
This achievement by Atenxia reflects our center's commitment to knowledge transfer and the creation of tools that ensure cutting-edge science reaches those who need it most.
