- CIMCYC will once again participate in the new edition of European Researchers' Night, which will be held on September 25 along Paseo del Salón in Granada.
For another year, Granada joins the celebration of European Researchers' Night, an initiative promoted by the European Commission to bring the human side of science closer to the general public through direct interaction and dialogue with researchers. With this purpose, 400 European cities—including the eight Andalusian capitals—have filled streets and squares with scientific outreach and innovation activities for the past 15 years.
The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) will host two stands featuring talks, exhibitions and interactive workshops aimed at sharing the work developed by its research groups in psychology and neuroscience. These activities seek to show Granada citizens firsthand how research contributes to improving daily life, driving innovation and generating social benefits.
Activities will run throughout the day from 10:45 AM to 9:30 PM, split into morning and afternoon sessions tailored to different age groups. During the morning, activities will focus on primary, secondary and high school students, who will engage in educational sessions on topics such as ADHD, perception, romantic relationships and social media disinformation. In the afternoon, a series of open sessions will invite all audiences to explore topics including the (re)construction of reality and brain function, psychological assessment tools, neurodiversity, stress, grief and human sexuality.
Additionally, as a new feature this year, CIMCYC will host a workshop specially designed for older adults at the UGR Senior stand in the late afternoon.
