Following our series of CIMCYC Sessions, we are pleased to announce our last session of this season, but do not worry because we will be back with fresh news in September! This last session will be held next Thursday, 3rd July 2025 at Sala de Juntas in Carmen de la Victoria (Cuesta del Chapiz, 9, 18010 - Granada).
This event will consist of a talk by Francisco Jesús Martínez-Murcia which is entitled Breaking Boundaries: Integrating Biological Data to Decode Brain at 10.00 am.
Although on this occasion the session is not linked to any specific paper, the closest would be the following one (for neuroimaging):
- Martinez-Murcia, F. J., Arco, J. E., Jimenez-Mesa, C., Segovia, F., Illan, I. A., Ramirez, J., & Gorriz, J. M. (2024). Bridging Imaging and Clinical Scores in Parkinson's Progression via Multimodal Self-Supervised Deep Learning. International journal of neural systems, 34(8), 2450043. https://doi.org/10.1142/S0129065724500436 .

Later on, we will take a coffee break at 11.00 am, a perfect occasion to share insights with other colleagues and catch up!
Finally, we will hold a Questions & Answers Session at 12.00 pm: What can AI add to our use of EEG to understand cognition? We are gathering a good range of questions for the session, so go ahead and add those questions that you never dared to ask about. Are you thinking about using a neural network for your EEG data? Do you feel like this would be too difficult to even try? Have you ever wondered if AI can provide any meaningful insight into the mind or the brain?
Please, do share your questions in the registration form (we will keep the anonymous for the Q&A session!): https://forms.gle/hDQYRzbt115RZ28Q7
*Please reach out to @email before the meeting in case you need confirmation for your attendance.
