The Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) at the University of Granada (UGR) is pleased to announce the conference "Organization and Resistance of Palestinian Women in the Face of Occupation and Genocide."
This event is the first activity of the project "Knowledge, Awareness, and Critical Thinking at the University to Challenge Inequalities Between Men and Women," an initiative coordinated by researchers Rocío Martínez, Elisa Martín-Arévalo, Nines Ballesteros, and Mar Martín-Signes. The project is supported and funded through a collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate for Equality, Inclusion, and Social Commitment, CIMCYC, and the Departments of Experimental Psychology, Psychobiology, and Social Psychology within the UGR's Faculty of Psychology.
The conference will take place next Tuesday, October 22, at 12:00 PM, in the Aula Magna (Main Lecture Hall) of the Faculty of Psychology (Cartuja Campus).
The session will feature two experts:
-
Lucía López Arias, a specialist in Spain's development cooperation with Palestine and peacebuilding.
-
Belén Habboob Martos, from the Department of Social Anthropology.
Both will offer an in-depth analysis of the role of Palestinian women in conflict contexts and their organization as a driving force for resistance.
CIMCYC invites the entire university community and the interested general public to attend this event, which seeks to foster reflection and critical thinking on current issues of social and global relevance.
