Recruitment: Post-docs and Professors in Neurosciences, Social Sciences and Humanities at the School of Advanced Studies (SAS), University of Tyumen, Russia The School of Advanced Studies (SAS), University of Tyumen, Russia, is recruiting post-docs and professors in neuroscience and in a wide range of human and social sciences, to teach in their discipline, and to perform research on consciousness and free will at the interface of natural science (neuroscience in particular) and social and human sciences. The workload will consist of teaching general undergraduate courses (about 50% of time), and doing research within the project “Free Will: Implications of State-Of-The-Art Research in Natural Sciences for Humanities and Social Sciences” (more info in LINK: https://sas.utmn.ru/en/free-will-en/ -> https://sas.utmn.ru/en/free-will-en/). Therefore the candidates are asked to propose research topics that explore the consequences of natural science (notably neuroscience) for human and social sciences. After one successful year, the post-docs will be invited to apply for a permanent faculty position at the SAS. The School of Advanced Studies of the University of Tyumen is a new institution, created in 2017 and incentivized by the Russian Federal Government to become a centre of excellence in interdisciplinary research and teaching (the students of SAS choose majors in biology, IT, humanities and social sciences). The scientists we will recruit will receive western-standard salaries and will have a unique opportunity to develop their own research, while interacting with other disciplines.
