Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center
The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC, https://cimcyc.ugr.es/en) of the University of Granada in Spain brings together world-class research in several key areas of Psychology and Neuroscience with the mission to produce excellent international science, train excellent professionals and go to great lengths to impact society and make the world a better place for its citizens. CIMCYC researchers study the human mind and brain, its individual variability, development and disease, its interrelation with the surrounding social environment and multitude of applications of this knowledge. Our greatest fortitude lies in the unique and privileged combination of state-of-the-art infrastructures at the service of these core multidisciplinary psychological research topics, with outstanding researchers that teach at excellent international postgraduate training programs and also organize and participate in a myriad of community insertion activities that make our research matter to society.
The CIMCYC is housed in a 4-floor building that offers state-of-the-art shared research equipment including a 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging Prisma scanner (fMRI, fully research-devoted at the basement of the building), a robotized Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator (TMS) with neuronavigation, transcranial electric stimulators (tES), EyeLink eyetrackers, High-density Electroencephalography (EEG), iMotions biometry, Tobii Pro Glasses, a cardiopulmonary analyzer, a Jatos server for online experiments, several high-performance computers for in-site and remote data analyses (see https://cimcyc.ugr.es/en/research/equipment) and a Sona platform for participant recruitment. In addition, each lab has further specialized equipment for the use of its researchers.

Job description:
The hired person will be an expert in advanced behavioral data analyses and implementation and programming of behavioral tasks for on-line and lab data collection, and will have demonstrated experience in Open Science protocols in the field. S/he will provide support on these domains by working closely with CIMCYC researchers, from PIs to young trainees.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of strategies to maintain a culture of Open Science in behavioral research at the CIMCYC.
- Assistance in developing appropriate and efficient experimental designs and optimal acquisition protocols of all kinds of behavioral data.
- Development and maintenance of behavioral data infrastructures and code repositories.
- Support in the design and evaluation of data (pre)processing pipelines and statistical analyses, ensuring reproducibility and accuracy.
- Support to CIMCYC researchers in the implementation of advanced statistical analyses of behavioral and survey data.
- Knowledge transfer: support in the organization of training workshops focused on behavioral task programming and of data analysis of different kinds.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Required:
- PhD degree in contents closely related to human behavior in topics related to CIMCYC research.
- High motivation to support Open Science in research.
- Extensive experience with (some of the) softwares employed for behavioral task programming and data analyses, such as Psychtoolbox, PsychoPy, Presentation, Open Sesame, Qualtrics and/or EPrime, R.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python).
- Proficiency in advanced psychological data analyses (e.g. Meta-analysis, Mixed-models analyses, Multilevel, correlational class or profile analyses, etc.).
- Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is not required, although willingness to learn is a plus.
Desirable experience:
- Experience with Open Science tools in behavioral data.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Experience with research employing Virtual Reality.
Desirable skills:
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as part of different teams.
- Ability to instruct and support others in task programming and behavioral analyses.
- Willingness to undertake further training and autonomously learn new pipelines, where appropriate.
SALARY
Monthly gross salary € 3200
