Ismael Muela Aguilera has a degree in Psychology from the UGR and a Master in Cognitive Neuroscience from the UCM. Currently, he enjoys a predoctoral contract for the training of doctors program (FPI). His doctoral thesis aims to shed light on the basic mechanisms underlying emotional regulation in gambling disorder. To this end, he combines the use of behavioral tests with brain (EEG and EPs) and cardiac (HRV) electrophysiological recordings. He is also interested in the study of other transdiagnostic markers of substance and non-substance addictive processes and their etiology.
