María Ruz is a Full Professor at the Department of Experimental Psychology at the UGR. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging. Her research at the Human Neuroscience Laboratory (https://wpd.ugr.es/~humneuro/) focuses on how the brain encodes information related to higher cognitive functions, such as cognitive control. To study these processes, she uses non-invasive methods to record brain activity, primarily MRI and electroencephalography, together with multiple data analysis techniques, especially multivariate pattern analysis.
