  • Type of contract/Duration: Until 31st of August, 2028 (with extension depending on funding availability)

Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center

The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC, https://cimcyc.ugr.es/en) of the University of Granada in Spain brings together world-class research in several key areas of Psychology and Neuroscience with the mission to produce excellent international science, train excellent professionals and go to great lengths to impact society and make the world a better place for its citizens. CIMCYC researchers study the human mind and brain, its individual variability, development and disease, its interrelation with the surrounding social environment and multitude of applications of this knowledge. Job description:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of the research award project “María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence” of the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) of the University of Granada.
  • Technical management of the CIMCYC strategic plan (preparation, registration, review and monitoring of progress indicators) and activities related to its implementation.
  • Support in the scouting of funding opportunities and preparation of project applications in (inter)national competitive calls, in cooperation with the UGR’s Office of Research and its International Projects Office. Support in the preparation of funded project’s reports and related documentation.
  • Support for the management of R&D&i projects in collaboration with companies and other public organizations.
  • Support in the selection of CIMCYC’s personnel and in management related to the local and national administrative procedures required in hiring. Support in applications from (inter)national research personnel to join the center through competitive calls. Support for the insertion of new personnel in the center.
  • Support in the preparation and management of requests to Ethics committees and actions linked to integrity in research and protection of personal data.
  • Support in the management of the center's scientific production (registration and bibliometrics, open access policies, etc.).

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Research management experience.
  • Oral and written fluency in Spanish and English.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Master degree in contents related to either R&D&i management or research related to CIMCYC (Psychology and/or Neuroscience).
  • PhD in topics related to CIMCYC’s lines of research (Psychology and/or Neuroscience).

Desirable experience:

  • Technical management of large multidisciplinary research projects of international nature, or similar roles.

Desirable skills:

  • Proactive attitude, flexibility and efficiency in problem solving. Positive attitude for teamwork and orientation towards results.
  • Ability to manage complex and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people. Good negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize activities.
  • Willingness to undertake further training, where appropriate.

 

SALARY

Monthly gross salary € 2.700

 

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • The working languages at CIMCYC are Spanish and English.
  • The (online) interview will be conducted in Spanish and English.
