The research group focuses on three sets of processes:

  • Learning: with special emphasis on Causal Learning in humans.
  • Emotion: related to anxiety disorders and depression, but also to problems related to drug addiction or health.
  • Decision: decision making and risk-taking behaviour. It also focuses on the study of the physiological correlates of these processes.

The lines of research are:

  •  Learning processes, decision-making, assessment and prevention of risk behaviour in substance addiction and pathological gambling.
  •  Decision-making and risk behaviour in driving.
  •  Medical decision-making, communication and cognitive processes in the field of health.
  •  Learning and emotional processes involved in action control and food decision-making.
