CTS176: Learning, Emotion, & Decision

The research group focuses on three broad areas:

  • Learning, with a particular emphasis on causal learning in humans.
  • Emotion, especially in relation to anxiety disorders, depression, addiction-related problems, and health
  • Decision-making, including decision-making processes, risk-taking behavior, and their physiological correlates.

Its main lines of research are:

  • Learning processes, decision-making, and the assessment and prevention of risk behavior in substance addiction and pathological gambling.
  • Decision-making and risk behavior in driving.
  • Medical decision-making, communication, and cognitive processes in health-related contexts.
  • Learning and emotional processes involved in action control and food-related decision-making.
