The research group is dedicated to examining the cerebral, physiological and behavioural mechanisms of the administration of both noxious and rewarding substances that an organism may receive, inadvertently or unconsciously, at any given time. They have a laboratory capable of detecting and revealing, within a maximum period of one week, the noxious or rewarding nature of any substance received or consumed by rodent animals.
