CTS581: Applied Neuropsychology and Psychoneuroimmunology (PNínsula)

This group conducts several lines of research, including:

  • Understanding stress mechanisms in autoimmune diseases and developing neuropsychological rehabilitation programs.
  • Research on neuropsychological alterations and mechanisms related to addiction and obesity.
  • Improving procedures and tools for detecting malingering in forensic neuropsychological assessment.
  • Understanding differences in neuropsychological performance among individuals and patients from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Applying neuropsychology to the study of gender-based violence and the neuropsychological sequelae experienced by abused women.
  • Examining the influence of nutrition and socioeconomic and social conditions on neurodevelopment.
