This research group was created in 2012 through collaboration among researchers in cognitive psychology, some specializing in thinking and reasoning, and others in traffic and driving psychology.
Their initial collaborative work resulted in publications that identified common errors in drivers’ judgments when interpreting various traffic situations.
Its main lines of research are:
- Inferences in educational and everyday situations.
- Perspective-taking and misrepresentation.
- Perception of driving hazards.
- Evaluation of traffic calming measures and psychological road auditing.
- Attention, distraction, and driving.
