Iván Dragomirov Padezhki, a doctoral student at the University of Granada originally from the University of Padua (Italy), has been awarded a prestigious doctoral fellowship from the "la Caixa" Foundation. This fellowship will allow him to join the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) to conduct his research in the field of experimental psychology. He secured the funding through the 2025 INPhINIT Doctoral Programme in Psychology, which is designed for early-career researchers starting their scientific trajectories. The fellowship lasts up to four years and provides financial support covering labor costs, research expenses, and tuition fees, in addition to a face-to-face training program in transferable skills.

Desde el Psychometric Lab del Centro de Investigación Mente, Cerebro y Comportamiento (CIMCYC) de la Universidad de Granada se ha llevado a cabo la adaptación y validación de la versión española de la Escala de Atención Moral, basada en la escala original Moral Attentiveness Scale desarrollada por Reynolds (2008).

The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) is joining the international celebration of Brain Awareness Week, the global campaign to promote enthusiasm and support for brain science. Throughout March, the center will hold activities to bring neuroscience research closer to different audiences, explain in an accessible way how the brain develops and changes at different stages of life, and answer questions about how it works. This project has received support and funding from the Dana Foundation and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS).

The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) welcomes Prof. Dolores Albarracín as a Visiting Scholar this month. As part of her stay, the Person-Environment Interaction Laboratory (LIPE-Lab)—part of the research group “HUM-196: Values, Beliefs and Attitudes”—has organized a series of lectures entitled “Communication, Persuasion and Behavior Change.”

Members of the Psychometric Lab at the University of Granada, from the research group on Modeling and Measurement of Human Behavior (HUM-624), and from the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC), in collaboration with the University of Oviedo (UNIOVI), carried out a study exploring the experiences of school bullying among girls and boys enrolled in Compulsory Secondary Education.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming workshop "SheCodesPsy: Reprogramming stereotypes! Empowering female psychology students with coding skills," funded by the Arqus Teaching Innovation Fund and the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence of the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center. The workshop will take place from the 13th to the 15th of May 2026 in Granada, Spain.

El día 10 de marzo, a las 13.00h en el Aula Magna de la Facultad de Psicología, será impartida la conferencia "Tiempos de reordenación patriarcal: la batalla cultural antifeminista", por Carmen Ruiz Repullo, profesora de la Universidad de Granada.

Investigadores del Centro de Investigación Mente, Cerebro y Comportamiento (CIMCYC) de la Universidad de Granada, pertenecientes al grupo de investigación Logopedia Experimental y Aplicada, coordinado por la investigadora Juana Muñoz López, han desarrollado el software INVENTAPALABRRAS para enseñar a leer e intervenir en las dificultades lectoras de manera personalizada e inclusiva, tanto en el aula como en sesiones individuales (niños, niñas y personas adultas). Esta plataforma ha sido registrada en la Oficina de Transferencia de Resultados de Investigación (OTRI), por su carácter innovador y su potencial de transferencia.

PhD student Germán Cipriani, from the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) at the University of Granada, together with researchers from the CEACO group at the Autonomous University of Madrid, led by Dr. Luis Carretié, have studied how emotional images capture attention even when they are very difficult to see.
