At CIMCYC, we continue to advance our commitment to scientific innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Therefore, we are launching two new initiatives: Meetings on EEG and on AI, Mind, and Brain.

Meetings on EEG

The Meetings on EEG arise from a spirit of collaboration and the desire to share knowledge among those working with electroencephalography. These meetings will serve as a forum to discuss doubts, exchange ideas, and foster cooperation. The first informal meeting will take place on February 6, 2024, at 12:30 in Seminar Room 2, where we will discuss the format of future meetings and gather participants' expectations.

Meetings on AI, Mind, and Brain

In response to the growing interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models in Psychology and Neuroscience, we are starting Meetings on AI, Mind, and Brain. These meetings, in the format of a reading club, will focus on the use of AI as a scientific tool to deepen our understanding of the mind and brain. With meetings every two weeks, we will address the benefits and challenges of using artificial neural networks as scientific models. These meetings are designed to be a space for learning and discussion, with each session revolving around a specific topic, fostering an enriching environment for analysis and discussion.

We invite all members of the CIMCYC community to join these initiatives.
