European Researchers' Night
Women and men doing science for you

The European Researchers' Night will be held on September 29, 2023 and this year CIMCYC will have its own stand in the Paseo del Salón.

The European Researchers' Night is an activity promoted by the European Commission that is held every autumn in almost 400 cities in 31 European countries. In Andalucia, this activity is led by La Fundación Descubre who since the first edition in 2012 has been committed to the dissemination of Andalusian research with simultaneous activities in the eight provinces of the region.

This event aims to bring to society, in a fun and entertaining way, the benefits of the progress of science, as well as its impact on the daily lives of all citizens. With the aim of reaching everyone, it is also presented as a fundamental tool to awaken scientific vocations in young people and to promote a research career as a professional outlet. This year, around 80,000 people are expected to participate in all the events planned in Andalusia, making it the most important simultaneous event in the Andalusian scientific field in recent years and one of the largest in Spain.

In Granada, most of the activities will take place at the Paseo del Salón, although there will also be science available to everyone in the Science Park, in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Granada, as well as scientific routes through different parts of the city.

The CIMCYC will have a stand at the Paseo del Salón, with a program throughout the day that represents the center's research. The four morning activities are aimed at educational centers, while on Friday afternoon there will be eight micro-meetings to disseminate our research to the general public.

From CIMCYC, we encourage you to come to the stand on September 29th to learn first-hand about the research on the mind, brain and behavior that we carry out at the University of Granada.
