Next Tuesday, April 30th, at 1:00 PM, PsychoBeers returns, kicking off the season at CIMCYC. We will talk about science while enjoying drinks, delicious food, and good music.
"Psychobeers" are an initiative that was born in 2019 to cover the lack of social events for scientific dissemination about psychology in Granada. Its purpose is to bring the discoveries of psychological research to a wider audience, encouraging debate in an informal environment where everyone feels comfortable participating and asking their questions, as well as having a good time in community.
The project was abandoned with the arrival of the pandemic, but it has resurfaced in a new stage. Next Tuesday, April 30th, at CIMCYC will be the first post-pandemic edition and will be titled "Breaking Barriers: A Look Beyond in Science and Society." It will feature the participation of distinguished speakers such as the astrophysicist and popularizer Emilio García (IAA-CSIC), with his talk "Out of Field," and the psychologist researcher Soledad de Lemus (CIMCYC), presenting "Beyond Conflict." This edition will focus on social themes, inviting attendees to participate with questions and proposals for debate.
The event will begin at 1:00 PM. All funds raised will be used to cover the expenses of the following editions, with the aim of continuing to make science accessible to the general public. In addition, the gathering will continue with music, food, and drinks until closing. For those who cannot attend, the talks will be recorded and shared openly on the YouTube channel "PsychoBeers Encuentros DeMente."
