CIMCYC Research Studies Conscious and Unconscious Perception in the Brain

A recent study by researchers from the Information and Communications Technologies Research Center (CITIC) and the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) at the University of Granada used a combination of electroencephalography (EEG) and machine learning (ML) techniques to investigate how our brain represents information we perceive both consciously and unconsciously.

The CIMCYC and the Bank of Spain Establish a Collaboration Agreement in Applied Neuroscience

The University of Granada (UGR) has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Bank of Spain to promote technological projects in the field of cognitive neuroscience applied to cash. This initiative, promoted and led by the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) of the UGR, consolidates an alliance that will strengthen the study of psychology and neuroscience applied to cash, an area of growing interest.

The ECB Selects Researcher Juan Lupiáñez as Jury Member for Euro Banknotes Redesign Contest

The researcher Juan Lupiáñez will be one of the two European neuroscientists on the panel of 20 independent experts who will participate in selecting the best designs for the new euro banknotes. This multidisciplinary jury, comprising experts from diverse fields, spans history and art history, graphic and industrial design, architecture, archaeology, communication, psychology and neuroscience. Its role will be to evaluate the design proposals and advise the Governing Council of the ECB on the final selection.
