The summer school “CIMCYC International Doctoral Summer School: Representations in Cognitive Neuroscience” (https://sites.google.com/go.ugr.es/representationsincogneuro/) will be held from September 4th to 7th, 2024. The event is organized by researchers from the Research Center for Mind, Brain, and Behavior (CIMCYC) and promoted by the Unit of Excellence of said center and the International Graduate School of the University of Granada, together with the Spanish Societies of Experimental Psychology (SEPEX) and Psychophysiology and Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SEPNECA). The iconic Carmen de la Victoria of the University of Granada will serve as the meeting venue.

This multidisciplinary event aims to promote and enrich scientific exchange in Cognitive Neuroscience, focusing on themes related to the concept of information representation in the brain. It features keynote speakers such as James Haxby (Dartmouth College, NH, USA), Maria Wimber (University of Glasgow, UK), and Martin Hebart (Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany), as well as young researchers with extensive experience in the field.

Following a selection process, 21 pre- and postdoctoral researchers will attend talks, present their research through posters, and participate in collaborative projects focused on various topics. They come from various universities and research centers across Europe and America: Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour; Freie Universität Berlin; Ghent University; Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin; Montreal Neurological Institute; University College London; University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE); University of Birmingham; University of Cambridge; University of Florida; University of Freiburg; University of Granada; University of Manchester; University of Padua; University of Toronto; and University of Würzburg.

The organization has also set aside space for social events, including a tour of the Alhambra and a guided visit to the CIMCYC facilities.
