El CIMCYC celebra la Semana del Cerebro 2026 con diversas actividades divulgativas

The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) is joining the international celebration of Brain Awareness Week, the global campaign to promote enthusiasm and support for brain science.

Throughout March, the center will hold activities to bring neuroscience research closer to different audiences, explain in an accessible way how the brain develops and changes at different stages of life, and answer questions about how it works. This project has received support and funding from the Dana Foundation and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS).

March 10: Science in everyday life (Science Park Granada)

This event, held in collaboration with the University of Granada's Senior Citizens' Classroom and the Science Park, will follow the following program:

March 20: Visit from IES Laurel de la Reina

Secondary school students will visit the CIMCYC facilities to participate in a themed day focused on the brain. Students will attend the following workshops:

  • The developing brain
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Neuroimaging
  • Your attention is not yours (or at least not entirely)
  • Psychology: a professional career

In addition to the in-person activities, the project will include the creation of special content for social media, designed to demystify misconceptions and bring neuroscience closer to a digital audience through rigorous and engaging formats.
