The PSICO-NEAE research group was created in 2020 by bringing together different lines of research on specific educational support needs. It includes researchers from the Universities of Granada and Jaén, as well as professionals from non-university educational settings. This collaboration addresses a core objective related to the transfer and social impact of research findings.
Its main research areas are:
- The role of segmental and suprasegmental phonological skills in written language learning.
- Difficulties in learning written language, including dyslexia and reading comprehension difficulties.
- Evidence-based intervention programs.
- Emotion and cognition in high intellectual abilities
- Difficulties in mathematical learning
- Cognitive processes involved in specific educational support needs
