The CIMCYC is strongly committed to the principles of Open Science with the goal of improving transparency, efficiency, active cooperation, and the reliability of science in the field of psychology.
Therefore, our aim is to promote these practices, as well as to inform about the resources available to facilitate collaboration, reuse, and reproducibility in research projects, and to provide the necessary tools to carry them out.
Open Methods and Source Code
A fundamental part of our work is the development and application of specific tools for neuroimaging, experimentation, and statistics. We perform preprocessing and analysis of data obtained from non-invasive neuroimaging experiments (magnetic resonance imaging -MRI-, electroencephalography -EEG-, transcranial magnetic and electrical stimulation -TMS, TES-) and peripheral activity recording (ocular, cardiac, muscular, etc.). Additionally, we promote the standardization of the BIDS format for different types of data obtained.
At the center, we provide researchers with a series of both generic and specific codes for neuroimaging data processing, which are available on the CIMCYC GitHub page.
What is GitHub?
GitHub is a project storage platform mainly used for creating source code for computer programs. It allows access to a profile where users can read or collaborate in the development of different projects, and also obtain mentioned codes for their own use by:
- Opening them via GitHub Desktop, which allows you to clone repositories directly onto your computer (Open with GitHub Desktop).
- Downloading the compressed files (Download .ZIP).
If you have any questions about how the platform works, or if you encounter any issues, please write to cimcyc.github@ugr.es
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE THIS PLATFORM AND COLLABORATE WITH OPEN SCIENCE!
