Join us next Tuesday, October 27, at 8:30 PM at Sala Planta Baja in Granada for our next session: "Musical Beings: When Sound Becomes Music," featuring Rafa Román Caballero—musician and PhD in psychology. The session will explore the intriguing relationship between music and human beings: Why and how do we perceive music? Why doesn't this phenomenon occur in other animal species? At what point in human development does this ability emerge? We hope to see you there!

How does the brain integrate information from different senses? What happens when, in a virtual environment, we see a hand that mirrors our movements? Why can a tennis player come to experience a racket as an extension of their own body? This study uses the rubber hand illusion to investigate how the brain combines information from different sensory modalities to construct a representation of our own body.

The Master's Degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Granada has secured European Erasmus Mundus Design Measures funding to promote a two-year international program. The program is supported by the scientific excellence of leading international research centers and institutes in the field of neuroscience and cognitive science, such as the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) in Spain.
