The WHO defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." This holistic approach guides our efforts to promote individual well-being. The diversity of research conducted at our center provides direct, up-to-date insights into the psychological, emotional and social factors that influence well-being. This allows us to enhance care and attention toward aspects of health that are often overlooked compared to physical indicators.
Through our research groups, we address factors that impact personal and organizational well-being, such as cognitive load or cognitive skills training, human-technology interaction, the impact of chronic stress, and the relationship between perceived competitiveness in the environment and social cohesion, health and well-being. This interdisciplinary scientific foundation helps us to (a) identify needs early by integrating various individual, social and structural factors, and (b) design assessments to evaluate the real impact of the interventions we implement.
